Hans Christian Oey

CX/UX Strategist & Web Designer

The short version (that got long)

I bridge two fields most companies keep separate: customer experience and digital design. Fifteen-plus years across São Paulo and Denver taught me that a beautiful interface means nothing if the operation behind it can't deliver on it — and that the best UX decisions often come from CX data, not just user interviews.

But here's the part that surprises people: I write the copy too. Not generic filler dropped into a template — actual words, in the client's actual voice. That means sitting through the awkward first meeting where I ask a psychologist to explain her practice like she's talking to a friend, or getting a corporate crisis-management partner to describe himself as "the guy you call to fix it" instead of three paragraphs of legal jargon. A few conversations in, I usually know someone's tone better than their own team does. Then I build the site around it.

Somewhere between compliance work, workforce forecasting, and designing pixel-perfect journeys, I picked up a habit of treating every project — website, exhibit, fundraiser — like it deserves the same obsessive attention to detail. Call it excellence, call it being unable to leave well enough alone. Either way, it shows up in the work.

Career path

Certifications & tools

Certified: Google UX Design Certificate.
Design & build: Webflow, Figma, HTML/CSS, Lovable, n8n (automation, in progress).
Approach: journey mapping, multilingual information architecture, AI-assisted workflows, end-to-end solo delivery — discovery through launch.

Languages

Portuguese, English, Indonesian, and Spanish — fluid across all four, which shapes how I design multilingual sites: not as translations, but as separate, localized experiences for each audience.

How I work

Solo, end-to-end: discovery conversations, competitive research, a Figma prototype the client can react to, a satisfaction round for revisions, then build. Every project on this site — entertainment, legal, hospitality, healthcare, psychology — went through the same process, because the process is what's repeatable, not the industry.

"I spent years in financial services compliance, where a misplaced decimal could trigger an audit. Turns out that same paranoia is exactly what makes a Webflow build hold up under pressure. Precision doesn't retire — it just changes industries."
